I thought I was taking Cyrus to meet Father Christmas at Fenwick’s Santa on the Rooftop in Newcastle. Instead, somewhere between the singing reindeer, a Persian carpet, glittery biscuits and a request for an excavator, I found myself getting unexpectedly emotional.
