My story

I'm 50, a mum, journalist and PR professional living in Newcastle upon Tyne.

I became a mum at 40, I'm part of a Persian-British family, and I've spent a good part of my life trying to work out how to be all the things women are apparently supposed to be. I'm now more interested in working out who I actually want to be.

I write about midlife, women's health, fitness, family, work, identity, culture, adventure and all the untidy bits in between.

I've not got life figured out. I'm here because I'm still doing that.
