Like many parents, I’ve a competitive streak and want Cyrus to be the next best thing at something. The challenge has been finding which sport he likes the most.

Dinosaur Encounter Golf can be found at Heighley Gate Garden Centre in Morpeth, Northumberland and with 12 holes, a waterfall and 10 lifesize dinosaurs, this adventure was really roarsome and kept our little family entertained for a good couple of hours.
With fun prehistoric facts dotted around the course, it makes for a learning experience as well as some close-up encounters with larger-than-life dinosaurs.
As little C took a walk on the wild side, armed with his ball and mini putter, he navigated a few obstacles and tricky turns. Although he still played better than his mummy and roared with excitement when he scored.
The cost of our game was £8.50. By the time we’d had coffee and snacks, we didn’t get much back from a £20 note. It wasn’t the cheapest way to spend the afternoon, but it was monstrous fun.
There are a whole range of family-friendly adventure golf courses across the North East in you fancy a few rounds. We just haven’t got around to visiting them all yet!
We’re looking forward to trying the Forgotten Crazy Golf at Alnwick Garden in Northumberland. Little C is keen to visit the Lost World Adventure Golf in Tynemouth too.
